Who can receive card?

Those who aged 15 and over, and whose current address is in Japan
(Kobe University Library is open to the general public with no connection to age, but books cannot be borrowed if you are under 15.)

What can be borrowed?

Books in open shelves of the General Library (and Library for Intercultural Studies), and books in Library for Maritime Sciences can be borrowed.
There are some materials not for loan e.g. journals, books held in laboratory, rare books and reference books.

Lending Terms and Conditions

3 books for 2 weeks

Please come to the library in person to borrow, extend, or return materials.
Borrowing and extension procedures are available only at General Library (Library for Intercultural Studies) or Library for Maritime Sciences.

Application

・Please ask circulation desk in General Library (Library for Intercultural Studies), or in Library for Maritime Sciences.
・Please bring your identification card shows name and address. (e.g. driver’s license, passport)
・Your card remains valid until the end of fiscal year. In order to renew it, submit your identification card shows name and address to circulation desk in General Library (Library for Intercultural Studies) or Library for Maritime Sciences.
