Getting books from Domestic Libraries

Books not available at Kobe University Libraries can be borrowed from libraries of other universities or institutions using the Interlibrary Loan Services. This service is charged. If you want to borrow the items owned at campus libraries in Kobe University, use Campus Delivery Service.

・Please select “Express” in sending means if you want to get items soon. “Express” delivery service requires additional fee.
* Despite you select “Express” delivery service, the ordinary delivery service might be applied due to unavoidable circumstances.
・Some materials might be prohibited from copying or carrying outside the library.

Receiving

The applicant’s faculty library is in charge of your request. Please receive materials at the faculty library you assigned after getting the email.

Getting books from foreign countries

We can request foreign institutions to send materials by research fund, if necessary.
Students can also apply for this service, if your supervisor permit you to spend his / her research fund.

1. International interlibrary request by using IFLA Vouchers

IFLA Voucher Scheme is the payment system for international interlibrary transactions. It is available between voucher supplying libraries.

2. Others

We cannot apply for the interlibrary service except the above institutions.
You may be able to read materials to visit an institution directly. In that case, we will be able to issue an introduction letter.
Nowadays, the materials that you can read their full-text on the web are increasing.
If you have any questions, please ask a nearby library staff member.
