Nakagawas’ Document


This is the documents come from feudal lord, the Nakagawas that was lord of Settsu and Ibaraki at the age of the period of Warring States, and Bungo Knioka(the region now part of Taketa-city, Oita) at the Edo period.It became possession of the laboratory of Japanese history in Fucluty of Letters Kobe University after World War Ⅱ. These contain letters and sealed notes which is written by such as Nobunaga Oda, Hideyoshi Toyotomi, Ieyasu Tokugawa, and Hdetada Tokugawa, so-called “Tenkabito”(people in paramount authority), and a lot of documents about important events which is concerned about Battle of the Sekigahara, and Rebellion of Simabara and all in the first stage of the Edo period.
This digitalization of the documents is enormously cooperated by the laboratory of Japanese history in Fucluty of Letters Kobe University.
