Shibuya Library (Materials of engine construction by Imperial Japanese Navy)<\/span><\/h3>\n

The material of engine construction by Imperial Japanese Navy was gathered by Ryutaro Shibuya, a founder of the Production Technology Association (founded in 1946) and named “Shibuya Library” afterwards.<\/p>\n

Some documents of this collection were donated to the Japan Institute of Marine Engineering Bulletin Editing Committee and taken care of at Kobe University of Mercantile Marine (now called Faculty of Maritime Sciences, Kobe University). The collection was formally transferred to Kobe University of Mercantile Marine in March 1994.
\nThere are about 4,400 precious documents, includes original papers about “the Case of the EICE (Rinkicho)”.<\/p>\n

How to use<\/h4>\n

In-library use only. (You cannot borrow materials of Shibuya Library.) Furthermore, pre-application is needed When reading or copying them.<\/p>\n

Nautical Charts by Japan Coast Guard. We have 852 Charts (published as of September 2008) and 651 Charts (published as of March 2003). Both of them are in Chart room.<\/p>\n

Charts fit to Japan Geodetic System (JGS)<\/h5>\n

Nautical Charts by Japan Coast Guard. We have all 1,901 charts reported in the Catalog of Charts and Publications (published in July 1997) in chart room.
\nThere are not only Nautical Charts, but also Miscellaneous Charts, Basic Maps of the Sea (Ocean), Bathymetric Chart of the Oceans, Sea off Japan Basemap, Basic Maps of the Sea (Continental shelf), Basic Maps of the Sea (Seashore), etc.<\/p>\n

Nautical Charts by the Royal Navy. We have 3,343 charts (published in 1981-1984) which cover all over the world.
\nIn addition, there are 170 Australia Nautical Charts, 59 New Zealand Nautical Charts, 23 British Miscellaneous Charts. <\/p>\n
